Description
Welcome to the f4 generation baybee! Now the Candyman Haze is a diverged line from the f2 generation of the Rusty Haze. In this diverged line I have simply selected for a higher indica type ratio along the way. In the Rusty Haze original line, I have been selecting towards the Metal Haze more heavily.
In the most recent run of f3 Candyman Haze breeders I used 4 females. One of these females had extra crazy resin production, however, none of the females are slouches when it comes to resin production. They all produce massive resin. The male f3 was harder to find, and I had to go through about 9 or 11 males to find him. A super-stud to be sure that represented the stout fat yielding phenotypes I am shooting for, with excellent resin production potential.
Lineage
Male Breeder(s) Deets: 1 male Bubble & Squeak (SOG) was the paternal P1 in the original cross. This is an old cross/hybrid from SOG using Bubblegum x Cheese. Super resinous, with wonderful yields, and a real sweet and sour thing going on regarding terpenes (smells and flavors).
Female Breeder(s) Deets: 1 Metal Haze (Dutch Flowers) selected female was the maternal P1 in the original cross. The Metal Haze were some tough hunting grounds, but I found a killer female. Many of the Metal Haze females I got were just average to pretty good, but I did get an exceptional female that I used in this cross. From my understanding, the Metal Haze is the result of reversing or selfing an extremely old Haze clone from a private Dutch indoor garden. I tested the crap out of this female for any sexual issues and she had zero. I normally don’t tend to breed with these types of genetics that are selfed, but I made an exception here; and besides, that was many generations ago.
La Smoking Insights
One of my all-time favorites right here, man O man. This one is reminiscent of old school killers all the way and smoking the Candyman Haze always brings me back to the 1900’s heh heh (the 80’s). This hybrid carries some of those olden effects, like tingly skin all over, everything looks brighter and extra colorful etc. This strain always put me in a good mood, and I mean always. The resin profile is outstanding, especially where high-type is concerned. Very creative and inspiring. I made hash (dry screened) from some of my buds and ooh-lala! This strain makes incredible hash, wowzerz!
Growing Instructions
These are basically bulletproof and are mostly uniform—all good to go if you are a beginner or an expert. Some females have an epic sweetness and dank/pissy, while others can smell like feet/skunky/cheesy.
Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old. Then switch to 18/6. Alternately…
Using a flowering photoperiod of 12/12 on sprouts for their first 10 days above ground, then switching them to an 18/6 photoperiod will allow you to easily sex them at 30 days of age—give or take 3 days.
Always allow plants to get at least 55 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. Plants grown from seed work much better outdoors in the ground than clones do. Alternately, clones work much better in containers than plants from seeds do. Sprout seeds in ambient temps of 75 – 85 deg. F. Obviously KOS always recommends organically growing our gear in living soil for the full appreciation of smells and flavors, among many other reasons—cheers!
